Jami Iyatu Taalimil Quran, known simply as JTQ, is
a registered Non-Profit making, Islamic charitable
Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO). Operating from
Mombasa, the historic town on the Coast of Kenya in East
Africa, JTQ is committed primarily to providing Secular
and Relegious education to the needy. Over the past 30
years, the Society has established numerous village
centers and self-help groups. We invite you to join us on
an oddessy into some of our projects. On the resources page you will find the links to all our major institutions.
Current Project
The first phase of the newly launched project for the expansion of
Masjid Mihrab is now complete.
Visit the project page to know more about this 250
year old restored Mosque. Taqwa Technical Centre is
situated some 25 kilometres from Mombasa. This project
aims to equip primary school leavers with essential and
useful skills especially in various trades. offers a
unique opportunity but has been facing severe financial
